Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Took me a couple months to get these arranged, but better late than never. For my 45th (geez, really??!!!), Mary Lee took me to Bodie, California, a ghost town about two-and-a-half hours south of Reno. I'd been wanting to go there for a while. It's everything you'd want a ghost town to be. Literally, people just took off when the mining boom ended and a big fire destroyed a huge chunk of the town. As the pictures attest, folks just left their belongings and took off along an uncomfy, winding mountain road. So there it sits, alone in managed decay (by the state of California), an amazing sense of history moving through the small town. The first two pics are of Bridgeport, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it town along 395, and the cool b&b where we stayed there. Enjoy the pictures and check it all out in person sometime!
